This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

When looking at this donors choose project you will see items that will help the classroom be able to utilize these tools to help with the pre-k crafts that will be coming around this time of year. I work next door to another pre-k teacher so my students and her students do similar activities and in some ways it is like we are a class of 40 pre-k scholars.

Our students attend a title 1 school and are not always able to have all the materials and such that tend to come with projects and crafts so we would like to make sure when we do something in the classroom everything is included.

We also have a high percentage of emergent bilingual students in which art is a great way for them to express themselves when they don't have all the words yet.

The staplers will help us display the artwork of the children around our classroom and in the pre-k hallway of the school. We will utilizer the laminator to send some of the art and special creations of our students to send home so their families are able to experience the crafts as well and we know they will last once laminated. We will be constantly changing and updating the art, especially with the holiday season here which is why we need the staple removers to assist in the easy removal and upkept with that.
