This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Please help my class get some cooking supplies for our new curriculum. This will give our students the opportunity to succeed by providing the cooking equipment (toaster oven, griddle/grill, and mixing bowls) that they need to truly understand and enjoy this exciting unit.
This is a great way for students to develop the skills needed to complete engaging hands-on learning activities.
They will also learn about math by adding and "measuring" ingredients into a bowl and stirring them.
They will learn so many fun and practical lessons, such as developing an adventurous palate and comprehending the importance of a well-balanced diet. They will learn about nutrition and healthy versus unhealthy choices.
This is also an excellent way to boost the confidence of many newcomers in our school because this unit is rich in language and will allow our students to learn by using hands-on structured play.
