Help me give my students tools to help them communicate without the need for words.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I'm a general education teacher in a Pre-K inclusion classroom. A little less than half of our students are special education students with IEPs and the SPED teacher and I collaborate together with everything in our classroom making sure our students get the best first school experience.
The majority of our students come from low economic backgrounds and often times English is not the primary language spoken in the home.
The building manipulatives, crayons, markers, and clipboards will help make sure the needs of each student is being met and we create a love for learning early on in the education careers of our students allowing them to show with building and drawing what they may not be able to with words yet.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
