Pre-K Campers: Exploring Nature Through Play!

Help me give my students thematic play unit for camping and exploration in prek.

My Project

Help bring the great outdoors into our Pre-K classroom with a hands-on, imagination-filled camping-themed unit! I’m requesting a play tent, pretend campfire, bug catchers, and materials for making s’mores to give my students a magical learning experience they’ll never forget.

This thematic unit will encourage creativity, storytelling, and exploration.

With the tent and campfire, students can engage in dramatic play, build social skills, and immerse themselves in a fun pretend camping adventure. Bug catchers will support science and observation skills as we explore the world of insects. And to top it off, we’ll safely enjoy making simple s’mores (no fire required!) to bring a sweet end to our week of camping fun.

Child-size pop-up tent

Bug catchers/magnifying viewers
