My students are curious, eager learners. They love to learn and do best in engaging environments. They are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging activities.
Every child in my classroom absolutely loves learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best vary greatly.
I incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are! They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a group of learners that are so excited and ready to learn!
My Project
Throughout the school day, my students enjoy using many different strategies for practicing reading, writing, and math skills. Right now, my students have no access to the independent use of technology in the classroom. Technology is great way to have students practice and strengthen learned skills at their own pace. Having Amazon Fire tablets available will give my students a chance to practice their math strategies and phonics skills during station teaching. Plus, in this technology literate world, any interaction with updated technology will increase their literacy, as well as their desire to learn and use the new technology!
