Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
As a teacher in a low-income/high-poverty school district, my students deal with several challenges. It is hard to watch their struggles without reaching out to help.
My students experience so many roadblocks on their learning path and need to be able to work practice their skills with available technology.
Since many are second language learners, the ability to write, do math, and practice skills to mastery should always be available. When they need help, extra practice, or a project it should be available.
The iPads were such a great help with extra practice on multiplication, cursive, ELA, projects, and ELD applications. My hope is to allow students to learn with the technology that they had which was a ratio of two to one iPad. The loss of three iPads makes a sad dent in the day-to-day working of the class since six students are impacted. Help send a message to the thieves that they cannot stop our work for too long!
My Project
My students had less practice with the basics of grammar, writing, and basic math work last year. These Common Core aligned practice problems are perfect for the start of class practice in each subject!
I can see where the gaps are in their learning as we correct, discuss each question and the reasoning for each answer.
The perfect size, color, and high-interest question will engage all students!
I am confident that these impactful little journals will bring these previous distance learners up to speed in no time! Thank you for your consideration and would love to get them at the start of school on August 12th! HELP!
