it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a Junior Varsity Softball coach, and I am requesting different types of softball equipment for our players to use, both in preparation for and throughout the season.
My female athletes can grow both individually and as a team, if we have the tools for success there's nothing we can't do!
Some of my girls have never played softball before, therefore they don't have their own equipment. Having access to this equipment without the financial strains would be beneficial to my athletes. My whole goal as a coach is to introduce girls to a sport they can play throughout their lifetime. I am asking for these specific softball items that will help me as a coach to teach these girls the fundamentals of softball, and to make us more competitive in our division, as well as give the girls confidence and a sense of pride.
My Project
My athletes have a strong desire to improve their softball skills and grow as a team. I want my girls to feel confident every time they take the field and using these training tools they can do just that.
The little "extra" we can do in practice can make a huge difference in my athletes' skill level and confidence.
Hitting in softball can be a challenge for many athletes. The nets will allow us to hit anywhere we need to improve our skills. The batting tee will replace old that are coming apart at the seams.
