This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our student-athletes are members of a successful soccer program who has won state, made 2 state appearances, and won the city championship this year.
Our soccer program is one giant family.
The boys consider the team their second family.
The student-athletes are committed to soccer, each other, and their academics. They are always striving to be the best student-athletes that they can be, and our program is constantly pushing them to be their very best self.
My Project
Our soccer program is one of the best programs in the city and the state. We do our best with the little funding we receive, however simple things like scrimmage vests are not a part of the budget. We won a state championship without having a field of our own.
The new scrimmage vests will allow practice to run more smoothly.
We want two sets that can allow the boys to easily find their teammates on the field.
Lack of gear and other soccer essentials do not stop our boys from playing the game that they love. However, this project will help our soccer family tremendously.
