This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach in a Title I school that is located in a diverse, low socioeconomic neighborhood in the Bay Area. I have 25 eager to learn kindergarten students this year.

My kindergarten students are enthusiastic and excited to learn.

My goal is to provide them with a safe and healthy environment that fosters a love of learning and a wide variety of skills and knowledge.

Due to the pandemic, many students are in need of basic wellness supplies.

I want my classroom to be equipped with all of the things necessary for my students to be healthy and well, especially with COVID being on the rise once again.

My Project

With COVID on the rise again and masks and sanitizer being in high demand on a daily basis, it would be helpful for my student to have their own supply at school. Also, individually packaged drinks will be the healthiest way to distribute items to students to ensure they are not being touched by others. Health and wellness are key!

As one can imagine, many times kindergarten students need an extra mask (or two), need massive amounts of hand sanitizer, and get thirsty throughout the day.

With this DonorsChoose project I will be able to provide the necessary supplies to my students.
