My students need a portable and quiet generator to be able to use on the field with the pitching machines since the field has no power. The quieter the easier it is to communicate.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Despite being a Title I school and having a large population of low income, at-risk, and limited English proficient students, our school has managed to maintain itself among the highest performing schools in our large urban school district, and we consistently earn recognition for our accomplishments from the state.
My students are all hardworking, energetic and eager, and they enjoy being a part of our baseball program.
Our program is in the beginning stages and we are in need of some essential equipment to build a strong foundation.
My Project
The spring baseball season is upon us and due to Hurricane Harvey we unfortunately lost what little equipment we had due to water damage. School funds were mainly used to replenish academic school supplies and to make structure repairs which left no money for sports. We need a generator to use for the pitching machines to work on consistency of our drills. Having a generator will also give the players and coaches the ability to bring and use additional power equipment to enhance our practices.
The option of having a generator will greatly help our team's practices and warm-ups.
Adding a generator to our team's equipment will give us an additional source to use power equipment such as one or two pitching machines to conduct practices and drills. We are dedicated to improving our team and want to do everything we can to make this happen.
