This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My Students:

I teach an incredible group of autistic and intellectually disabled students who thrive on structure, technology, and hands-on learning.

They are curious, capable, and constantly working on building both academic and life skills. Our classroom uses Amazon Fire tablets daily for interactive learning through apps, modified curriculum, and communication tools.

My Project:

We are requesting a Pearington 10-Device USB Charging Station to help us keep our classroom tablets organized, charged, and ready to go each day.

Currently, our tablets are charged using scattered outlets around the room, with cords tangled and devices often misplaced or left uncharged. This charging station will allow us to charge up to 10 devices at once—safely and neatly—in one central location. It will also support our growing use of technology by keeping everything in one place, helping students develop responsibility for plugging in and storing devices after use.

Why This Matters:

Our students rely heavily on tablets for academic learning, communication, and visual supports.

Having a centralized charging station will reduce downtime and tech frustration during lessons.

It creates opportunities to practice important daily living skills like organization, responsibility, and shared use of materials.

This space-saving charging hub is perfect for our classroom needs—with 6 AC outlets and 4 USB ports, it can handle our current tablets and any future tech we may add. It even features built-in cord management to keep everything tidy and accessible for all students.
