My Students

My students are hardworking and dedicated to their learning even in these current challenging times. They come from all different backgrounds and walks of life.

My students have a strong desire to learn and grow to become good citizens of the world.

My Project

These materials will allow my students to read together and learn life lessons through text. My students will each have a copy of Esperanza Rising to connect with. The lessons we take from this novel will help us understand human rights and learn more about what that looks like around the world. It will push my students to think about human rights and hopefully inspire them to fight for equality and change throughout their lives. We will also get some books that go along with our Hidden Figures unit and they will help my student learn about the woman who helped put the US in space!
