My Students
Our school is a vibrant, welcoming community serving kids with many different abilities. 87% of our students receive free or reduced price lunch, and 25% of our students are homeless. We serve a large population of Special Education students and English as a Second Language students, as well as many students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. My students are all students with special needs, ranging from learning disabilities to autism. Many of my students need tons of extra support to be successful.
My Project
Every day, I work with children with special needs. This work requires many things to be printed, from differentiated learning tasks, suggestions for teachers, assessments, and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). At the moment, I have no way to print out any of this vital work!
I have not had a working printer with ink for over a year!
Part of my job is to write and print reports for families, giving them suggestions for how to best help their children. I haven't been able to accomplish this task recently! I also haven't been able to create and print differentiated tasks for my wonderful students.
