Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our Media Arts students at International High School in Largo, MD, are a vibrant group of English Language Learners (ELL) who use their creativity and diverse cultural backgrounds to bring unique stories to life. Their passion for storytelling makes them truly special as they work on producing STL News, our school's weekly news segment.
While we are waiting to recive a GoPro camera, our students need accessories such as memory cards, batteries, and a camera stand to maximize their filming capabilities.
These items are crucial for creating high-quality STL News segments and allowing students to capture important moments without limitations.
Additional batteries will ensure our students never miss a moment during long filming sessions. Memory cards will allow them to store and edit more footage, and a sturdy camera stand will help them achieve professional-level shots. These accessories will give students the tools they need to explore media production fully.
My goal is to provide students with hands-on experience in media arts, encouraging them to think critically, work collaboratively, and express themselves creatively. This project will support their growth as young media professionals and storytellers.
