My Project
My students attend a tough, inner city school where 98% of the population receives free lunch, and 75% of their families receive AFDC assistance. Many do not have exposure to authentic music instruments at home so it is critical that we make it available at school.
My students need batteries to power up our keyboards and make them portable and a keyboard amplifier so they can be heard as they share their songs with their classmates.
The batteries will give my students the freedom to practice anywhere as they create original melodies and accompaniments. These materials will enable my students to learn in a hands-on way that will provide a longer-lasting and deeper understanding of music.
