Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
During the past year, my students have gotten much better at building robots. However, we are trying to figure out how to build them more quickly and precisely.
In constructing and building a robot, there are certain tools that we need to make the process easier.
With a bandsaw, we can cut aluminum more precisely and without endless metal filing. With a right angle power drill, we can drill and turn bolts in hard-to-reach areas of the robot. Plus, we are asking for two joystick controls to match our new “swerve” design robot.
In addition, we are planning for safety with two face shields that protect us from cutting as well as accessories for the band saw. Also, we need red pens to make edits in our robot design plans.
All in all, we build a better robot with these supplies and more quickly.
