This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Do you remember what it was like when you were learning to read and build math fluency? For many early learners, the practice of building new words and building a foundation in math through small group instruction is key. We are asking for PowerPen activities to incorporate play. PowerPens allow students the interactive part of learning by pushing the pen on their answer selection. After pushing the pen, the students receive real time feedback whether they are correct or not.
My students love when learning is incorporated into their playtime.
Fun materials like these will give them a sense of play while learning critical skills such as addition, subtraction, and building new words.
Each student will have the opportunity to integrate each of these materials into their daily routine in our classroom. My students will be reading quicker and more fluently as a result.
