My Project
This project contains needed miscellaneous supplies that support the general functioning of a classroom. The bins will help to organize our ever-growing classroom library by genre. This method of organization makes it easy for students to easily locate books they are interested in, and they are more likely to read. The floor lighting will allow me to turn off the overhead, fluorescent lighting, providing a more gentle light to work in.
An organized classroom with regulation centers supports all children by providing a calm environment, free from chaos.
Classroom 180 is the resource I use to build a classroom that supports students experiencing many types and stages of trauma. Many of my students have requested more noise-cancelling headphones to support them with their anxiety which is often triggered with extra noise. Coloring posters provide a space for students to calm down and regulate.
