Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Do you remember being in elementary school and how proud you felt when your papers and projects were prominently displayed in class? I do, and I have a gregarious group of 1st graders who also love to look at their best work posted on our classroom bulletin boards. Even the type of paper they are provided with to create their masterpieces can influence the time they take and the details they make in their creations, whether it is in their writing or artwork. My students love to work on "fancy" card stock because it is thick and bright, not thin and dull like the newsprint paper they are often required to use.
I am proud to be a teacher in a profession where we are always willing to share our ideas and best practices.
I have recently found many excellent resources created by fellow teachers on the Teachers Pay Teachers website. I downloaded a great resource to kick off our Hispanic Heritage Month, but I realized I don't have enough card stock left to copy enough of the projects for each student.
Please be a part of helping me stock up on card stock and providing the gift of a card to use on the Teachers Pay Teachers website to purchase useful and engaging resources. These two things will help to increase my students interest and motivate them to do their best work!
