This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have run out of poster boards and markers for my students to use. My students use these materials to design posters at the end of a unit of study. For example, we just finished studying Mesoamerica. In groups the students will now design informative posters to demonstrate the knowledge they have acquired.

Students enjoy getting away from the normal curriculum and having a chance to express themselves artistically.

I have observed that posters, when used as an individual assignment or as a group one, are effective at tapping into this need.
