Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As an independent study teacher at a PBIS school, I am now educating a great group of enthusiastic fourth, fifth, and sixth-grade students over Zoom. My students are excited about learning and love to share their ideas.
I have been holding gift card giveaways once a week to give students something to work for and look forward to.
However, I need more postage stamps and note cards to mail these fun resources and keep my students engaged and motivated!
I am requesting enough postage stamps to continue Gift Card Giveaways for the rest of the school year. Students earn entries every week for perfect Zoom attendance, completing assignments, and participation in discussions. Since starting this idea, I have seen a dramatic improvement in attendance and participation!
This project will have a significant impact on my students. It will encourage them to come to Zoom classes every day on time and stay for the entire period. Additionally, by being present they will hear my math and science lessons and do better on assignments and tests.
