My Students

As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school, my students are faced with challenges both in and out of the classroom.

Despite the many challenges they face, they always come excited to learn something new.

Our school is constantly trying to support our families with food, clothing, and supplies. Some of our parents are working 2-3 jobs just to get by and it is hard to ask for additional school supplies on top on it. Our students receive free breakfast and lunch everyday. Most of my class gets to take home a backpack of food once of week provided by our school. We really try to help out our families!

My Project

I currently have been buying prizes and mailing them home to students for good behavior and incentives! I am in need to continue this process buy helping supply postage and flatter prizes I can send through the mail.

Help me reward these over achievers by rewarding them during this time of uncertainty.

Despite the changes of schooling from home, these students have the best attendance and listen to me teach for 4 hours straight each day! It is the little things that the kids look forward to each day, and checking the mail for a reward for good behavior & academics is one of them!
