Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are participating in the Dual-Language program in Houston which means they spend half the day in English and half the day in Spanish. My students are very excited about learning new things and discovering the world we live in through videos and stories.
My students come from a variety of backgrounds including low-income, single family, foster homes.
This impacts their learning at school and interactions in society. My students are also minority students who face significant disadvantages in life.
My Project
I am asking for an Epson WorkForce All-In-One Color Printer and extra toner. These materials will help my students learn about the world around them with realistic pictures and imagery to help them gain a better understanding of the concepts taught. Additionally, this will help my students conduct research on various topics and create superb products that reflect their learning.
With a color printer, my students will be able to have real life examples of the topics we study and learn about.
They will not have to simply imagine things, we will have physical examples of the concepts we discuss to help them remember and connect more deeply to the lessons I provide daily.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
