I teach twenty amazing Pre-K students each year who love to investigate, explore, and solve problems. Providing puzzles will help develop their cognitive reasoning and ability to visually discriminate shape and space.
Many of the puzzles within the set consist of themes such as family, friends, food, nursery rhymes, and others which in turn helps them to explore and learn about their environment.
Brain research also supports the use of puzzles to reinforce connections in brain cells as well as improved mental speed and memory. Interestingly enough a benefit to puzzles is the increased production of dopamine which regulates mood and concentration.
