Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work with limited and non-verbal students with autism. At times they have a difficult time with regulating their emotions, and need alternative ways to be able to do so. I want to teach my students that it is ok to not be ok.
We can teach them strategies, and have items/activities available to help them deal with their emotions in a more positive way.
With your help, I want to provide my students with fidgets, calming strips, weighted teddy bears and other items to help them when they are in distress.
