My Students
What are we in 2nd grade? We are flexible and organized! My students walk into my classroom every day excited for the new adventures on which I will take them. They are eager to see what each new day will bring and willing to try their very best in every activity they engage in.
My classroom is an inclusion classroom servicing Special Education students in a general education setting.
I have to use a lot of differentiation throughout my school day to be sure I am reaching and allowing each student access to the curriculum to the best of their ability. I spend hours modifying, creating, and altering assignments so that each student can be confident in his/her work and feel like they are able to meet the requirements for every assignment.
We are hoping to get some indoor recess games like Candyland, checkers and playing cards so that we can interact and play with our friends. These games will encourage us to interact with our friends and work on important life skills. We are also hoping to get some stuff to help us celebrate Polar Express Day and 100th Day of school!
My Project
These materials will help make a difference in my classroom. My students work hard on a daily basis and deserve some new rewards that will better help motivate them! The clipboards will be used so each student has their own to work around our classroom. The rewards will be used for classroom rewards along with school wide PBIS Rewards. The flashlights will be used on Fridays for FLASHLIGHT FRIDAY reading under the lights. We will use the fun markers to help be more creative with our writing assignments. The stamps are also used with our writing activities. The decks of cards are used for math games!
