This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The specific items I'm requesting, primarily candy, will be used as positive reinforcement to encourage and reward students for their engagement, participation, and achievements in class. Research shows that positive reinforcement can be an effective tool in promoting desirable behavior, increasing motivation, and enhancing focus. By associating learning with immediate, tangible rewards, students are more likely to stay engaged and put in the effort required to succeed. This approach can particularly benefit students who may struggle with intrinsic motivation, helping to create a more positive and encouraging learning environment.
My students are special because they are a diverse group of individuals with unique talents, perspectives, and challenges.
They come from various backgrounds and bring a wealth of experiences to the classroom, which enriches our learning environment. Despite any obstacles they may face, they are eager to learn, grow, and succeed. What stands out most about my students is their resilience and determination. They are not only striving to achieve academic success but are also navigating the complexities of adolescence, and they do so with remarkable strength and adaptability. This project is just one way to help them feel recognized and motivated on their educational journey.
