My students are incredible! My students are in kindergarten, first, second, third, and fourth grade. They are curious, inquisitive, hardworking, and dedicated. All of my students have Individualized Educational Plans because they have been diagnosed with disabilities.
All of my students receive free breakfast and lunch at school.
They come from high poverty areas, and they all love coming to school. My students are brilliant individuals who learn differently than their peers. These students will be successful, and it's my job to create learning opportunities that ensure this.
My Project
Positive reinforcement helps children feel good about their choices, which motivates them to increase the behaviors that bring rewards. I'd like to use these rewards and punch cards as tangible evidence for making positive choices in our learning community during class.
Praise and positive reinforcement usually produces both short-term and long-term benefits as children learn helpful habits that will prove beneficial throughout life.
One important advantage of using positive reinforcement is that students actively enjoy being present and learning in the classroom. Use of positive reinforcement leads to heightened enthusiasm in students – and even the teacher! All students benefit from positive recognition for doing the right thing.
