This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

What I love most about my students is their resilience, curiosity, and boundless potential. From our tiniest Pre-K learners to our confident 5th graders, they arrive each day eager to learn, connect, and grow—often in a second language, often overcoming challenges outside of school. They inspire me with their questions, their laughter, and their desire to be seen, heard, and valued.

Many of our students are emergent bilinguals, and all benefit from visual structure, encouraging messages, and language-rich environments.

The requested Cricut, vinyl, and other accessories will allow us to create bold, meaningful, and bilingual environmental print that:

Affirms their identity with positive, inclusive messages; Reinforces school-wide expectations like being Ready, Respectful, and Responsible; Supports language development and reading confidence; Provides visual cues for independence and navigation; Creates spaces that feel welcoming, safe, and inspiring.

The Cricut Venture and materials will turn our walls into tools for learning and belonging. With these resources, our school will literally speak to our students—reminding them that they are capable, that they matter, and that this is a place where they can thrive.
