My Project

Bullying and harsh words tend to stop a student from wanting to come to school. Students lose self-esteem and their grades suffer from low attendance. Teachers struggle to help the students as they are more occupied with the behaviors than the teaching of the standards. Here at Horizon Science Academy Dayton Downtown, we want to uplift our students and with the Positive Pals program, we can. The Positive Pal program allows students to think about their teachers and peers in a positive light. Students are encouraged to look for the positive in others and nominate their teachers and peers for the Positive Pal Program. The students will be eligible for prizes and other privileges and the positive notes will be placed on a bulletin board for the school to see.
