This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My group of 6th graders is extremely motivated and culturally aware of their surroundings. They enjoy read aloud and reading to self during independent reading time. They make connections with the stories and add their twist to the end as they predict a different ending to stories. Their sense of adventure and passion for reading is simply admirable. Reading has enabled them to visualize the stories and be able to integrate their background knowledge. They especially enjoy reading stories that they can relate to.

My Project

The books and materials for this project will provide students with a positive mindset. They will be able to do activities and read books that will allow them to use critical thinking skills.

Being a critical thinker will allow students to have a positive mindset that will enable them to become amazing human being with empathy towards others.

Having a positive mindset will help them balance their emotion and mental health. They will use the activities as a reinforcement and practice new learned skills. We greatly appreciate your support for this project.
