This is a calming and focused activity that promotes mindfulness for my students.
Utilizing a label maker to create games will allow me to promote organization and structure within the group setting. Along with enhancing cognitive skills through game participation and rule following.
Who doesn't love to express their creative side in their own way?! The variety of Crayola markers will allow students to display their artistic expression, aiding in communication of emotions. And creates a nonverbal avenue for self-reflection and exploration for my introverted students that don't enjoy expressing themselves verbally like others.
Incorporating these activities into social-emotional small groups creates a dynamic and inclusive environment that addresses various aspects of students' development. The hands-on nature of these activities engages students physically and mentally, fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere for emotional exploration and learning.
