Help me give my students food and meet the three to one positive ratio
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Seybert's classroom raised $281

My Project
I am moving from being a fifth grade teacher to being a second grade teacher. This is a huge shift. I am going from teaching to learn to teaching to read. The younger students also need more care and emotional support. I also want to make sure that they have food every morning so they are able to learn. Students that are hungry cannot learn. I am also hoping that these snacks will help with the motivation and structure piece.
Students should have food every morning.
Some students come to school without having had breakfast. This impacts their learning creating a disparity between the education students receive based on income. We need these kids to have food to eat.
To ensure everyone has accessibility to these delicious snacks their will also be a reward system in place for the remaining snacks. Delicious snacks will be used to incentivize students to work hard, follow expectations and maintain structure. At the beginning of the year structure is the piece that teachers work hard to implement to ensure a successful academic year.
Students will be given a ten piece star chart to fill out. Every time they show positive behavior they get a star. Once they hit ten stars they get to grab a snack. This reminds the group that everyone is celebrated.
