My Project
This project will help me give about 50 girls in our all girl mentoring group the ability to positively journal about her emotions. I will use these journals to help them understand the 5 Cs of Mental Health: Competence, Confidence, Connection, Character, and Caring. By using these as a framework for creating a positive school environment, this will also allow them to express herself without causing harm to her self or to her elementary school peers. These journals will also allow them to create opportunities for them to connect with and support one another. Journaling will also encourage an open discussion about mental health and well being.
