One of my goals is to create a positive, welcoming, and creative environment that addresses various academic, social, and emotional needs. As a second year teacher, I don't yet have all of the larger, more expensive classroom tools and furniture that I think my students could really benefit from.
I would like to receive these items to help create a positive, welcoming and productive environment for my students.
The area rug will be be used for the front of my classroom and will become a frequent spot during morning meetings, closing circles, read alouds, etc. A cozy environment can contribute to the overall well-being of students by fostering a sense of comfort, safety, and happiness. This, in turn, can lead to improved motivation and a more positive attitude toward learning. Additionally, it helps students to develop social and emotional skills. This area can encourage positive interactions with peers and teachers and provide opportunities for students to practice empathy, communication, and conflict resolution.
The cricut will be used for students' art, a resource for student projects, and a resource for myself as I create materials for fun learning experiences.
The rolling cart is an organizational tool that will be filled with communal classroom materials. Many students don't have all of the necessary materials needed for learning, and the cart will be a way for students to find comfort in knowing they have enough and that they will be provided for.
All in all, all of these materials will help foster a positive classroom environment! I know if funded, the students will be very grateful!
