Our school focuses on building character and teaching the whole child. My classroom focuses on both academics and behaviors to enhance the overall learning experience for our students.
My classroom consists of elementary emotional support students who would benefit from developing appropriate coping skills to manage everyday stressors.
My students are bright, creative, and eager to learn. They thrive on structure and stability. In my classroom we focus on providing structure, consistency, and routines in order to enhance their learning and coping skills.
My Project
In our classroom we focus on developing positive and prosocial ways of coping with our emotions and everyday stressors. Our students learn about different social skills every week and focus on building appropriate character traits that they will carry with them throughout their lives.
By donating to our project, you are helping our students develop appropriate coping skills that they can use daily.
The books chosen for this project will offer our students a fun, engaging experience with easy to relate to characters that will emphasize coping skills and character traits. The water timers will offer a calming and relaxing tool helping to meet their sensory needs. The stool will also be used as a flexible seating option.
