My students need an iPad to maintain positive behavior and gain positive reinforcement for their efforts with the use of an iPad and the ClassDojo application.

My Students
Motivated by monsters? Yes! My students see monsters and they smile. There is no screaming, running or hiding. We use ClassDojo, a program that tracks classroom behavior. Each child is assigned a monster character. We love keeping our monsters happy!
Our kindergarten classroom is located in the best state -- Michigan!
20 amazing students walk through my door every morning. I'm greeted with hugs, high fives, smiles, and fist bumps. These students and their parents trust that I'm going to give 110% when I instruct. I want to do just that! Instruction doesn't just come from a book. Supporting behavior and social skills are essential components of teaching.
My Project
ClassDojo has been a success in our classroom. Students learn to monitor their own behaviors. I'm also able to conference with students at the end of the day and make a plan of action, if needed. An iPad mini and protective case would allow us to monitor behavior outside of the classroom. This technology would allow me to track positive and negative behaviors in the hall, cafeteria, playground, and during specials. Also, students would be able to document their own points, change their monster characters, and share this information with their parents.
Teachers unlock learning by making it fun.
Let's encourage positive behavior with the same concept! Let's make it fun! This iPad mini and protective case allows us to track behaviors in a fun and meaningful way.
