Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
All students have been impacted by the past few years. My school wide plan is to help students struggling with pandemic catch up, with trauma, and overall social and emotional support. How do I plan to do this? With a positive school experience with positive awards that can be earned by showing how amazing all students are!
First, I plan to stengthen our PBIS system we already have in place. As a school, we will continue to use positvies in the classroom for kids to earn our school wide behavior ticket for ROARS (Responsibility, ownership, attitude of achievement, respect, and responsibility.) In doing that, we will give kids a chance to earn even bigger prizes, like the ones in my project, for showing great behavior.
Lastly, I feel this is important because of all the pressure that is put on students. I hope you are able to help fulfill this project to help my school with student behavioral support and give a more positive outlook on Social Emotional Learning.
