Portfolios for All

Help me give my students a portfolio system to be used for saving and displaying work all year.

My Project

I am requesting materials to start student portfolios. I'd like to start with a two hole punch and pendaflex file folders to store student work and assessments in one neat and organized place throughout the year. Students will help stack and store their work in individual portfolios.

I also will cut some of the files folders to make a wall display where students can put their work directly on the board as part of our classroom decor.

Each time a student adds their work to the folder, it is creating a portfolio that they will be able to share with families at the end of the year when it is sent home. Everything they’ve added will be in order of when it was completed. We will put them on rings as a binding so they have their kindergarten year in one organized unit to have as a family keepsake.

It is my goal to have this easily organized portfolio system be able to be used year after year as the folders hanging on the wall will continue to house student projects and we will use the rings to secure it before sending home.
