My Students
My students are from all over Maryland and come to SEED to board during the week to get the best and safest education away from distractions and daily struggles. We provide a tuition-free public college preparatory education from grades 6-12 and provide support through college also. Our kids are resilient and strong, persevering through the pandemic online and in person. Building relationships with parents and students is key to our student success and most students consider us bonus parents. My kids are incredible and I love them as I love my own children!
My Project
My students will create and maintain their own portfolios for their junior and senior years of high school. I want my scholars to feel control over their future choices by helping them build and manage their written work samples, credits, college essays, college applications, service-learning experiences, resume information, and other relevant materials in one organized place. These materials will give a sense of ownership and power over their trajectory and teach them valuable life skills that will hopefully carry them through the remainder of high school into college and beyond.
