Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are hardworking, curious children who love to learn and develop new skills. They live and attend school in an urban neighborhood with a high poverty rate. Many of the students are English Language Learners and their families speak Spanish at home.
My fourth-grade students enjoy reading, science, creating projects, researching a variety of topics, and working with technology!
My students enjoy reading about animals, space, other parts of the United States, and other countries and cultures.
My Project
My students will be starting a hybrid learning model, where some students will be physically in the classroom while others will be learning online from home. I teach science and social science to 3 classes of 4th graders. I need to organize materials and teach to both students in the classroom and at home at the same time. Students at school will remain in their homeroom, and the teachers will move from classroom to classroom to teach.
This cart will help me move my materials from class to class while allowing me to present digital lessons and secure technology in a locking cabinet.
Now, we are practicing social distancing, but in the future, I would like the students to be able to present their projects using the cart!
