My Students

My classroom is affected by the coronavirus pandemic because the school serves a diverse, high-poverty population with 98% of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch and many students are speakers of other languages. My students are resilient and hardworking. They are excited and inquisitive, which makes a great match for success.

Many of my students do not have many supplies.

I am now using Zoom and Microsoft Teams to teach, connect, and listen to the many challenges that they are experiencing while at home during this pandemic. I really want to make learning engaging for my students. I want the students to be excited about coming to class during our face-to-face sessions.

My Project

The Mobile Dry Erase Board with a Stand will assist me in teaching my students in an engaging and exciting way. The Mobile Dry Erase Board with the Stand will allow the students to be able to follow along with me while I am teaching them specific math skills and reading strategies. Before this pandemic, I used my white board daily with interactive lessons for my students. I can display many different assignments and strategies making the lessons engaging. The dry erase markers with assorted colors will make the lessons visible for the students to follow along while I am teaching the lesson virtually.
