Popping Into Better Days With a Classroom Popcorn Maker

Help me give my students a popcorn maker for our classroom for healthier snack options and a treat for working hard.

My Project

In our classroom, we aim to create a space where students feel supported academically, emotionally, and physically. One small but meaningful way to do that is by meeting their basic needs like hunger and celebrating their hard work in fun, positive ways.

We’re requesting a classroom popcorn maker to serve two important purposes:

A Healthy Snack Option: Some of our students return from lunch and recess still feeling hungry, especially those with early lunch times or limited food access. Air-popped popcorn is a healthy, whole-grain snack that can help students stay focused and energized throughout the afternoon.

A Reward for Hard Work: Our students work hard every day, and we love to celebrate their achievements big and small. Whether it’s after a tough test, on a low-energy day, or as a reward for great behavior, popcorn can turn free time into a special event and boost classroom morale.

This small addition to our classroom will help meet students' physical needs while reinforcing a positive and supportive classroom culture. It’s an easy, affordable way to show students we care and to celebrate all they do.
