This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Most of our students have never had homemade desserts and treats before. Many of them are amazed that you can make your own version of things and not just buy them at the store. One of these is Pop Tarts-a popular breakfast or after school store bought treat!

We want to offer the opportunity to our Culinary 1 students to make their own homemade Fruit Pop Tarts.

These pop-over molds are very helpful to ensure that our students can make a pop tart in our allotted class time without having to do the molding by hand. We need 8 sets of molds so we have one set in each kitchen to accommodate our very large culinary classes.

We would love to offer this opportunity to our students and help them see the ease and fun of making their own homemade treats!
