Student council would like to spread kindness in our school community by hosting a "Popcorn and Positivity" day.
The goal is to encourage staff and students to show their gratitude for one another by sending a handwritten card and a bag of freshly popped popcorn.
This community service project aims to foster reflection, gratitude, and kindness within our school. Our school community is made up of almost 600 high school students and more than 80 faculty and staff members. All staff and students in the school will have the opportunity to write a thoughtful note on one of the provided cards, which student council will deliver to the recipient with a bag of popcorn. Deliveries will be a joyous occasion and will occur during first period so that staff and students can bask in the positivity all day.
Beyond spreading joy and positivity, this initiative will empower student council members with the understanding that even a small group of dedicated individuals can make a meaningful impact. As members of the same school community, it is essential that we support one another and demonstrate genuine care for each other. Showing a simple act of kindness can make a big difference.
