POP! Using BrainPOP to Get Kids Excited About Learning
My students need access to BrainPop videos and activities to engage them in learning and help them succeed! This project provides us with a 12-month classroom subscription to BrainPop and BrainPop Jr.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Sonn's classroom raised $519
This project is fully funded
Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are bright and inquisitive young learners. More than half come from low-income families. They face a variety of challenges. They have different abilities, personalities, and achievement levels. Some also have special needs.
I want all my students to have access to the materials they need, so they feel safe to take risks, face challenges, and grow.
They are excited about the school year and are open to learning new habits. They are a joy to be around and are an amazing bunch of kids!
My Project
BrainPOP engages students through animated movies, learning games, interactive quizzes, primary source activities, and more. BrainPOP developed their digital resources with research in mind. BrainPOP quotes research that "information is more effectively processed when presented in words, pictures and sound than when presented in words alone (Mayer, 2005)".
With classroom access to BrainPOP, I can engage my students through videos, interactive activities, and fun games.
This will increase their interest in learning. BrainPOP’s award-winning resources, BrainPOP Jr. and BrainPOP, include topics of Science, Math, Social Studies, English Language Arts, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Music, Health, Reading, and Writing. Funding this project will enable students to access and gain the precious background knowledge needed to succeed in their school days.
