Pop! Musical Play

My Project

During Covid 19 I had to put aside many of the hands-on manipulatives I had used since I service over 800 students. I have been bringing manipulatives back into the classroom however, I have since found new and more playful ideas to add to my resources.

Using these rainbow pop-its, I can have students pop out melodies we are learning or create their own musical ideas in a fun way.

The rainbow coding coordinates with other materials in my class that highlight pitch as well. As educators, we know that engaging play is the best way to learn.

In addition, the floor markers are helpful in flexible movement around the class. Having defined locations in an open space helps with classroom management and gives students an understanding of their boundaries.
