Pop Art Passion

Help me give my students Crayola model magic clay so they will be able to produce 3D pop art. Additionally, we are in need of a renewed supply of colored pencils.

My Project

My high school students are passionate about Pop Art. It has only been a little over three weeks and we have already learned about Warhol, Lichtenstein, Jasper Johns and Claus Oldenburg. Even though we are currently working on Gauguin’s Tahitian Landscape, they continue to request more Pop Art!

The Crayola Model Magic clay will be used to honor that request!

The students will use it to create 3D Pop Art food sculptures in the style of Oldenburg and Wayne Theibaud.

This is my first year of teaching high school art after teaching elementary art for over 30 years and I’m so impressed by the enthusiasm and desire to learn in my students.
