Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Ah.. I just got the long pencil with the good eraser! This is the way to start the day! Good point, unchewed, an eraser to fix a mistake. Hooray!
My first graders are ready to hit their morning journal with the right pencil in their hand.
They are eager to discover the evolving look of their handwriting and sketches when put to paper. Their words flow from their fingertips with the right (write) tool, a pencil. However in our city's dwindling Public School supply closet their is a challenge to keep pencils on the shelf. The foundation to the school day begins at the tip of a pencil (a sharp tip, hopefully) .
My Project
Ponder the Pencil and it's best friend the Electric Sharpener. A simple material that when put in the right ( or left ) hand empowers the talents, skills and imaginations of young writers to run onto a piece of paper and bloom into stories, pictures and the answer to many a question.
Please, provide pencils that placate the primary perseverance of the people who 'preciate penning......we would love for you to fund this project.
