Pond Life in the Classroom

Help me give my students what they need to support a pond in the classroom in order to model a pond ecosystem.

My Project

I am excited for my sixth grade students this year because they are able to build and maintain a pond ecosystem in the classroom. They will observe Dwarf African frogs, Daphnia, Lumbriculus water worms, Chara, which is a water plant, and many varieties of microorganisms, both algae and protists.

We are using a kit developed by Smithsonian and Carolina Biological, and although they are providing a plethora of supplies, which includes living organisms, there are some supplies that are not included with the kit, and that's where I need the help from donations to make this exciting hands-on experience work for my students and myself.
